Who is Toni Belfatto?

As a child his open and curious mind was fascinated by the desire to travel the world and discover different cultures. As a result he decided to study languages at high school and graduated in foreign languages and literature as he saw becoming an air steward the perfect opportunity to realize a dream.

However, in 1989, a totally random visit to a tattoo exhibition in Bologna inspired his interest in this art form which was still largely unrecognized at that time. The exhibition aroused his imagination and curiosity. As a result he decided to learn as much as possible about tattooing, learning as many different little known and "secret” methods as he could on the art of drawing on the skin that which can normally be drawn on paper. Thus began his long journey into the wonderful worldof tattooing. This passion became his biggest expression so much so that he abandoned his university studies even though he had only one last exam to take.

He opened his first Tony Tattoo Studio as part of his father’s beauty salon business, carrying out implantology and trichology as well as acting as technical advisor and teacher for various companies in the industry. As demand for his tattoos grew, so did his popularity amongst his clients. In turn, Toni found great satisfaction in his work, encouraging him to focus his attentions on developing his interest in these activities.

In 1992, as a result of progression in tattooing methods, tattoing became part of the permanent makeup industry, integrating the aesthetic side of tattooing with the cosmetic market.

Toni and the Center Belfatto has collaborated with celebrities of the show as Pippo Baudo, Alba Parietti, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Ramona Badescu, and Dong Mei, as well as being a guest in several TV shows such as A Morning with Maria Teresa Ruta, Maurizio Costanzo Show and Number One again with Pippo Baudo.

His experience and managerial skills led him to extend his business reach throughout Italy, with the opening of a franchise brand with 15 Tattoo Tony Points.
He has worked in London with various beauty salons. He worked in Tunisia, where he held his first training course outside Italy where he treated the beautiful daughter of the President.
The assets portfolios have more than twelve thousand artistic and aesthetic works as well as custom tattoos, cover up (or cover tattoos), permanent makeup, paramedical tattooing, piercing and exotic and erotic body painting.
For the past fifteen years he has regularly held training courses for young people who wish to be introduced into the world of tattooing. His detailed courses include aspects such as methods, equipment, problem solving and hygiene standards.
He became technical officer of Goldeneye Italy, a leader in the field of Micropigmentation, for the regions of Abruzzo, Molise and Campania.

Toni’s extensive knowledge and multifaceted personality led him to be nominated president of the industry association, the AITEVA (Italian Association Tattoo Aesthetic and Artistic Visagists), a governing body which addressesindustry regulations in the profession. AITEVA actively collaborates with the region of Abruzzo in order to instigate relevant and appropriate law sand promotes the opening of  a regional qualifying school. For several years, he has taught at vocational technical schools in the regions of Latina and Naples, where mandatory industry qualifications are taught enabling the students to practice as tattooists and body piercers once qualified.

In 2007 here ported on various topics relating to micro-pigmentation tattooing at the first National Convention in Milan.

In 2008 he participated in a global projectin collaboration with his partner, EnnioOrsini, and with specialists ininfectious diseases, microbiology and dermatology in writing a book on the subject of Micropigmentation which was translated in 5 languages.
He has been a regular contributor writing magazine articles on the subject of tattooing with international magazines in circulation, such as "Make Up & Beauty" and "Golm G News".
He is often invited as speaker at various conferences on the subjects of tattooing, paramedical tattooing and permanent make-up in Moscow, Istanbul, Romeand New York.

In 2010 he became a master teacher and distributor of Biotek, a multinational company operating in the areas of tattoos and dermopigmentation.
Together with his partner, Ennio Orsini, he holds patents for TRICOPIGMENTATION which involves the use of cosmetic tattooing in areas of baldness and scars. In collaboration with the Medical Division of Biotek, he invented the TRICODERMOGRAPH, the first and only equipment used for tricopigmentation.
Toni has run professional training courses on the subject of paramedical tattooing in surgical clinics in September 2010 and with Clinician: Asmed Dr. Koraj in Istanbul during November 2010 for 20 micropigmentists in Moscow.
