Microblading
What microblading is, how it differs from machine hair strokes and why Toni Belfatto does not perform it.
After
Before
Microblading is a manual technique: a small blade made of micro-needles cuts fine strokes into the skin, where pigment is deposited to draw the brow hair by hair.
Microblading and machine permanent makeup
The goal is the same: a full brow that looks like natural hair. The tool is what differs. In microblading each stroke is cut by hand; in permanent makeup the pigment is placed with a PMU machine, which controls the depth and intensity of the colour.
That is why the two treatments are often confused: most people searching for "microblading" simply want natural-looking hair-stroke brows.
At Belfatto Lab
Toni Belfatto and his team neither perform nor teach microblading. Hair-stroke brows, for men and women, are created with a PMU machine using the hyper-realistic brow techniques described in his manuals.
