Tattooed eyebrows and eyebrow tattooing
As for the cost of these treatments, it is essential to book a free consultation, so that you can agree with the practitioner on the right treatment and the right price.
Touch-ups and corrections of work done elsewhere are, of course, priced differently.
Tattooed eyebrows
This treatment is easily – and wrongly – confused with an artistic body tattoo done with permanent pigments. It is important to tell them apart.
When people talk about tattooed eyebrows, hair-stroke brows or "natural-effect" brows, they almost always mean permanent makeup: a treatment carried out by specialist dermopigmentation artists with suitable equipment and resorbable pigments, which fade over time and need regular touch-ups.
Permanent eyebrow makeup
It is probably the most requested permanent makeup treatment, especially among women: it gives the eyes more intensity, corrects facial asymmetries and disguises gaps caused by alopecia or over-plucking.
There are several techniques to choose from: shading, for those who like a "made-up" brow; the realistic or hair-stroke technique, for those who want to keep things natural; and a combination of the two.
The dermopigmentation artist is the practitioner who performs these treatments, after a specific training path with courses dedicated to permanent makeup.
Hair-stroke tattooed eyebrows
This advanced technique – also the one clients ask for most – is called hyper-realistic because it recreates the brow hair by hair for a completely natural effect. It is often confused with microblading.
The strength of a realistic treatment is that it keeps the brow looking completely natural while improving its shape.
Eyebrow tattooing
Eyebrows are a key facial feature: they bring out the eyes and give them more presence.
An asymmetrical or very sparse brow line inevitably changes the shape of the face, making it less expressive and less flattering.
Eyebrow tattooing is an effective solution: a dermopigmentation treatment performed with an electromechanical device (the dermograph) or by hand (microblading), using single-use needles and resorbable pigments, which are different from the permanent inks used in artistic tattooing.
Eyebrow tattoo
Many people still confuse an "eyebrow tattoo" with permanent makeup, wrongly believing that the former is done with permanent pigments.
What everyone should know before choosing permanent eyebrow makeup is that it is performed with specific equipment, single-use needles and resorbable pigments – pigments that last for a limited time and do not stay forever. This is what sets permanent makeup apart from artistic tattooing, which uses permanent inks.
The reason for this choice lies in the changes in shape and colour that our face goes through over the years: a resorbable pigment allows the shape and colour to be adjusted to the face each time.
The eyebrows
Have we ever thought about what we would like our eyebrows to look like? Have we ever looked for a different shape from the one we are used to seeing in the mirror?
That is exactly what permanent makeup is for: redefining the brow line, making it symmetrical or fuller, or rebuilding it from scratch in cases of alopecia areata or universalis.
The brow must suit the client's taste and habits, while following the advice of the practitioner, based on their knowledge of facial design.
Above all, it is the dermopigmentation artist who recommends the shape, colour and technique that best suit the face: a very natural hair-stroke brow, a fuller "makeup-effect" brow for those who love makeup, or a combination technique.
